The .si registry now counts 406,313 registered domains, according to the live counter on register.si on October 14, 2026. Nine days earlier, on October 5, Register.si announced that .si had passed 300,000.
Thirty years, then three weeks
When it announced the 300,000 milestone, Register.si put the change plainly: it took more than 30 years to reach the first 200,000 .si domains, and around 10 days to add the next 100,000. The 100,000 after that took nine days.

The registry's page also shows 46,066 .si domains registered in the previous month and 7,755 in the last 24 hours alone, through 98 registrars.
In short: .si has added more domains in the past three weeks than in its first three decades.
Why now
.si is Slovenia's country extension, but in 2026 it started being read as "superintelligence", the way .ai turned into the extension for AI companies. Builders want a name that says what their product is, and investors are registering AI words, tool names and brandables faster than the extension has ever seen.
What the sales say
Registrations are one side of the market; sales are the other. Our .si sales history has 100 dated .si sales since October 5. Twelve of them were $10,000 or more, including:
- staffing.si: $50,000 (Spaceship, October 10)
- gifts.si: $31,364 (fruits.co, October 10)
- hollywood.si: $30,000 (Sedo, October 5)
- runtime.si: $28,888 (Spaceship, October 7)
- stocks.si: $25,000 (Sedo, October 13)
Half of those 100 sales were $450 or less, many of them auctions between investors. The pattern is clear: common words and strong product names sell for real money, while most new registrations trade for a few hundred dollars, if they sell at all.
What it means if you own .si names
- The best words are gone faster. With 7,000+ registrations in a day, a good name that was free last week may not be free today. Check before you assume.
- Supply grows faster than buyers. 400,000 names now compete for attention, so a name has to stand out on its own merits.
