The .si domain sales in our sales history now add up to $2,015,687, across 727 sales. The total passed $1 million on October 14 and $2 million ten days later, on October 24.
Most of that money changed hands very recently. Of the sales with a known date, four dollars in every five were spent in October 2026. Only 11 of the dated sales happened before September 2026. The oldest is pep.si, sold for $10,000 in August 2009.
The ten biggest .si sales
- chain.si: $84,000 (October 17, reported, marketplace not named)
- staffing.si: $50,000 (Spaceship, October 10)
- openrouter.si: $50,000 (Atom, October 17)
- run.si: $34,999 (Atom, October 20)
- ai.si: $34,000 (private sale, May 2025)
- gifts.si: $31,364 (fruits.co, October 10)
- hollywood.si: $30,000 (Sedo, October 5)
- runtime.si: $28,888 (Spaceship, October 7)
- rebellion.si: $28,700 (private sale, October 15, reported)
- pure.si: $26,862 (fruits.co, October 9)
chain.si is still the biggest, and still unconfirmed: it was reported on X without a marketplace or a buyer. Spaceship's own figures suggest it went through SellerHub, as we wrote in What Spaceship's SellerHub numbers say about .si prices. The other eight without "reported" are confirmed sales.
Together the top ten make up a fifth of the total. It takes the top 50 to reach half.
Half the money, 48 sales
48 sales of $10,000 or more add up to $1,004,918, half of everything we've recorded. 39 of them are confirmed.
At the other end, 398 sales under $500 add up to $48,191, less than 3% of the total. The median .si sale on record is $355. So "$2 million in .si sales" is mostly a story about a few dozen names. Most .si names that sell go for a few hundred dollars.
What the big names have in common
Plain English words. chain, run, gifts, pure, speech, stocks, game, chief. Dictionary words account for 337 of the sales and $1.38 million, 69% of the total, with a median of $1,499. The bigger sales are mostly short, common words, the same kind of names that lead .com and .ai sales.
The vocabulary of AI and software. .si is being read as "superintelligence", and the buyers paying five figures often want a word that belongs in that world: runtime.si ($28,888), recursive.si ($20,000), bot.si ($20,000), fractal.si ($25,000, reported). openrouter.si ($50,000) is the name of an existing AI company.
Places. hollywood.si ($30,000), dubai.si ($20,000), southkorea.si ($20,000), caspian.si ($19,795), peru.si ($12,774) and philippines.si ($10,000). Place names have a median sale of more than $11,000, the highest of any kind of name in our records. peru.si sold at auction on Backorders.Domains for €11,400 on October 23, with 13 bidders.
Two characters. ai.si sold privately for $34,000 in May 2025, well before the rush, and it's the name that sums up why anyone wants .si. ex.si ($12,000), fn.si ($11,103) and rx.si ($10,740) followed. Our 18 two-character sales have a median of $6,040, more than any other length.
Where they sold
- Sedo: $473,862 across 79 sales, median $3,999, top sale hollywood.si
- Atom: $337,126 across 369 sales. 320 of them were Atom's daily auctions, which add up to $87,145 with a median of $65. The other 49, including openrouter.si and run.si, make up the rest.
- Spaceship: $306,107 across 43 sales, top sale staffing.si
- Private sales: $174,271 across 26 sales, top sale ai.si
- fruits.co: $168,820 across just 14 sales, with a median of $8,592, the highest of any marketplace with more than a handful of .si sales
- Dynadot: $97,994 across 62 sales, top sale caspian.si
- No marketplace named: $393,730 across 113 sales, chain.si among them
Auctions are most of the sales by count, 354 of 727, but they bring in 6.5% of the money. They are where names change hands at wholesale prices, often for under $100.

How we count
The total adds up every public .si sale we've found with an exact price: marketplace results, NameBio, sales posted on X by buyers, sellers and brokers, and the daily auctions on Atom and Dynadot, which we record ourselves. Sales in other currencies are converted to US dollars.
A sale is confirmed when we could check it against a marketplace's results, a sales database like NameBio, or our own auction records. Reported ones were posted publicly but couldn't be checked. They make up $757,670 of the total, 38%, and every one of them is marked "Reported" in the sales history, where you can filter them out.
Public reports also lean toward the big sales, since few people announce a $300 one. The real median for .si is likely lower than ours.
